Clydesdale Sessions: The Five Stages of Grief
Clydesdale Sessions: The Five Stages of Grief is a guided equine-assisted psychotherapy program designed to support individuals navigating loss, transition, and emotional healing. This immersive experience blends evidence-based counseling practices with the grounding, reflective presence of Clydesdale horses in a small-group setting.
The program consists of five structured group sessions, each intentionally aligned with one of the Five Stages of Grief. Through facilitated discussion, experiential activities, and direct interaction with the horses, participants are supported in processing emotions, building awareness, and developing healthier coping strategies. The horses serve as intuitive, nonjudgmental partners in the therapeutic process, helping participants access emotions that are often difficult to articulate in traditional settings.
Sessions are led by Baylee Oligmiller, M.S., LCPC, a licensed professional counselor based in Whitefish, Montana, with specialized training in equine-assisted psychotherapy. The program emphasizes emotional safety, confidentiality, and intentional pacing, allowing participants to move through grief in a supported and compassionate environment.
