Clydesdale Experiences are offered by appointment only and can be reserved online using the booking links below for each activity, during a cabin reservation, or by phone or email.

Our experiences are carefully curated and scheduled ahead of time, so same-day availability is limited. Reserving in advance is the best way to guarantee your spot.

Participation requires a signed liability waiver, and safety requirements vary by activity, including mandatory helmet use for horseback riding.

The Clydesdale Barn Tour is the perfect introduction to Clydesdale Outpost. This guided walk through our working Clydesdale barn invites guests to meet our gentle giants up close while learning about their care, history, and daily life at the Outpost. Led by an experienced wrangler, the tour is slow-paced, educational, and allows time for questions, photos, and meaningful moments with the horses.

The Clydesdale Encounter™ is our most immersive and emotional experience and unlike anything else in the West. This is not a tour. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step into the world of our Gentle Giants and connect with them in a personal, meaningful and unforgettable way.
Led by a dedicated team of wranglers and guides, guests journey through a cinematic, story-driven experience that includes up-close interaction, guided connection moments, and entry into a private sanctuary where a free-roaming Clydesdale herd surrounds you in one of the most breathtaking parts of the ranch.

The Clydesdale Horseback Ride offers guests the rare opportunity to ride one of our Gentle Giants through scenic Montana terrain. Led by experienced wranglers, this guided ride is designed to be enjoyable for both beginners and experienced riders, with a calm pace and well-trained horses that make the experience comfortable, safe, and unforgettable.

Rider Requirement: Participants must sign waivers and demonstrate the ability to independently mount and dismount their horse, with wrangler assistance, ensuring preparedness for any necessary dismounts during the ride.

The Clydesdale Sleigh / Carriage Ride is an intimate, private experience led by our Gentle Giants. Perfect for couples, families, or small groups, this experience features a Clydesdale-pulled sleigh or carriage designed to seat up to four adults. Guests enjoy a scenic ride through the ranch, followed by a relaxed visit to the barn to meet the horses up close and Catered refreshments in the Welcome Center
Our sleighs are custom-built in Poland and crafted specifically for comfort, charm, and unforgettable winter and shoulder-season moments at the Outpost.

The Outpost’s Wagon Wander Ride is a relaxed, group wagon adventure through the scenic wagon trails of Clydesdale Outpost. Climb aboard and enjoy a peaceful ride behind our Gentle Giants, followed by a behind-the-scenes barn visit where you’ll meet our full herd of Clydesdales.
The experience concludes with a gathering near the barn. Featuring treats, refreshments, and time to unwind, connect, and enjoy the evening at the Outpost.
