Clydesdale Outpost is a boutique guest ranch and architectural retreat nestled in the wild beauty of Whitefish, Montana. At its heart are our award-winning Clydesdales—majestic and gentle, they roam freely across the landscape, offering guests unforgettable, up-close encounters.
Stay in one of our six private, two-bedroom Timberlyne timber-framed cabins, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the natural world around it. Every cabin features a full kitchen, spa-inspired bath, and a private cedar hot tub overlooking sweeping pastures.
Our Welcome Center serves as both outfitter and concierge—your home base for horseback rides, carriage experiences, and curated moments with our herd. Whether you're here to explore, unwind, or reconnect, Clydesdale Outpost offers a stay that is both luxurious and deeply rooted in the soul of the West.
Cabins
Retreat to your vintage-inspired timber-frame cabin, nestled among open fields where Clydesdales roam freely. Designed to stir a sense of wonder and stillness, each cabin blends timeless craftsmanship with modern comforts—an unforgettable space to relax, recharge, and reconnect.
Inside, you're welcomed by the glow of a cast iron gas fireplace and an open-concept living area perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a cocktail beside the patio fire pit. An oversized accordion window blurs the line between indoors and out, framing the landscape while inviting the breeze in.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a 2-burner stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and Nespresso machine—ideal for morning coffee or a cozy night in. Whether you're logging on with high-speed Wi-Fi or unplugging with a record player and typewriter, your stay is yours to shape.
After a day of adventure, soak in your private cedar hot tub, then unwind in the spa-style bathroom with a double vanity, plush towels, and a walk-in shower. Each cabin sleeps up to four adults with two queen bedrooms—one upstairs, one on the main level—appointed with ultra-soft linens.

Cabin and Property Rules
Welcome to our lovely cabin retreat! We're excited to have you join us for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Our check-in time is at 4:00 PM, and check-out time is at 10:00 AM.
Children and families are welcome, and we even have select cabins that are pet-friendly: Junegrass, Stillwater, and Gunsight. Just keep in mind that there will be an additional pet fee.
We kindly ask that smoking is not allowed on the premises for the comfort of all our guests.
Additionally, the property encompasses 92 acres of beautiful land, but it may not be suitable for elderly or infirm guests who have difficulty navigating outdoor terrain and unique spaces. Thank you for choosing us, and we look forward to hosting you!
Cancellation Policy and Deposit
Thank you for choosing to book with us. We kindly remind you that a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, which is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
The remaining balance of your payment is due seven days prior to your scheduled arrival date, and once paid, it also becomes non-refundable.
However, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and our dedicated staff is always available to assist you in rescheduling your booking for a future date when availability allows. Please keep in mind that if the nightly rates for your new booking differ, you may be subject to the additional nightly rate pricing.
