Best Weekend Ever!

Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway! Matt and Benjamin were such wonderful hosts, Matt even came out to play soccer with my five year old and Benjamin was patient in answering his many questions about the horses. The property is beautiful, the horses friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. Make sure you take advantage of the hot tub and don’t forget to bring plenty of carrots for the horses! My son is already asking to go back!

Girls Night Out

Birthday celebration with my sister’s. The cabin was clean and cozy. We appreciated the air conditioner since it was 85 degrees! The Nespresso machine was a welcomed bonus. We enjoyed visiting with the Clydesdales. Matt & Ben were quick to address our requests. They were happy to tell us more about the horses. We used the provided grill and fire pit. We enjoyed the scenery and quiet, relaxing environment. Definitely recommend and will be back again soon!

Lovely vacation!

The cabin was beautiful and cozy for a quick weekend getaway. We loved the little touches like the coffee machine and record player inside and the hot tub and sauna outside! Being able to interact with the Clydesdales was amazing. Great hosts and would definitely recommend.

Loved Our Stay!

We loved our stay in The Baker! What a beautiful, serene place to stay. We enjoyed the sauna and Smores by the camp fire! While visiting we were able to hike through Ape Caves. Wow! Was that amazing!! We also saw some beautiful falls, wineries and enjoyed some great food. We would like to bring our whole family next time. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

What a Magical Place!

I was looking for somewhere unique to take my girls 9 and 10 and did we find that place here. When we first arrived, we were greeted by 3 incredible Clydesdale horses. These impressive animals are so beautiful! We then went to our cabin and it was just as we expected and more. My girls fell in love with the record player as they had never seen one before let alone listened to one. I had to chuckle at that. They played folk songs and 1950's music the entire time we were there while playing board games that were in the cabin. The cabin was clean, bright and just right for the 3 of us. I would sit outside each morning with my coffee and just enjoy the quiet beauty of the property. Oh and to be greeted by the horses every day was beyond cool. We were able to feed them some treats, it was so special for me and my girls. I cannot express how stunning these horses are. At one point we were able to see them running side by side, that made our day for sure. Our first night, we had a wonderful visit with a lovely couple from BC staying in the Rainer. Thank you for sharing your marshmallows!! The next night after a full day at Mt St Helens, we relaxed under the stars in the cedar hot tub. One quick suggestion, check with Matt to see if there is a fire ban before going as you may want to change up your meal planning. We knew about the ban as we do not live too far away so brought food we did not have to cook, bread, cheese, salad, etc and had picnics each night outside. And last but not least, big kudos to our host Matt who was so responsive to all my random questions before we arrived and incredibly welcoming while we were there. Clydesdale Outpost had this ability to make me feel relaxed, peaceful and at home. We will definitely be coming here again. Thank you Matt and Ben for such a memorable trip!

Attention to detail is an understatement!

When we arrived it was as if a long time friend had planned a relaxing vacation just for us. There was a delicious bottle of wine, cold water in the fridge, information on local attractions and restaurants, eucalyptus for the amazing sauna, oversized towels for the cedar barrel hot tub and so much more.......we even returned one evening to a blazing fire in the outdoor fire pit. The Cabins are stylish and sophisticated, yet cozy. As a host Matthew will no doubt take exceptional care of you. He is one of the rare people you will meet in life that when you leave their presence you feel better about who you are. More than just a sensational host, Matthew delivers an experience.
